Our Design a Christmas Card Competition 2022

SC xmas card 2022

We thought it was news worthy enough to share here our fantastic designers.

We launched our competition a few weeks ago, inviting any deaf young person up to the age of 16 to design a Christmas card.  Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd were up for grabs.

The winner, as well as receiving a voucher that can be spent on almost anything, will have their card sent around to all our members, friends and colleagues.

We were so amazed at how many entries we had.  Our three judges had a really hard job, to choose a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place!  This they did, however, and here are those cards.

Congratulations to Hazel Garfield Lichy, age 12 from Heathlands School for her winning design, and also Inaya and Raphael.

2nd place: Inaya Amer Age: 11 from Eastbury Community School.

3rd place: Raphael Shtrosberg age 8 from Yavneh Primary School.

We’d also like to thank, firstly the three judges:

Rubbena Aurangzeb-Tariq (www.rubbena.com),

Christopher Sacre (www.seeandcreate.org.uk) and

Luke Christian (www.deafidentity.com)

And all those teachers, parents and young people who spent time designing some amazing cards and entered our competition.

We’re planning on holding another competition next year, so… keep an eye out for our poster that will be put on our socials, and emailed out next year!
